Seiner Phyllis T Sunk in Cattle Pass, Fishing Grounds, San Juan Islands, WA
Series of 8: (1 of 8) top of mast is seen in the water. While fishing, sank at Cattle Pt., San Juan Islands, next to the Fishing Grounds. It was due to taking on just too many salmon. With the help of other fishermen and their boats, she was off-loaded and raised.
"Phyllis T" was owned by Nick Tarabochia; Built at Babare, Tacoma in 1915; as "Selca" "Ursich, George; Ancich, Jack; Tarabochia, Nick owners. Later sold to Beritich, Mitch. 55 ft.
Cattle Pass is between San Juan Island and Lopez Island. Cattle Point is seen here. It is on the southernmost tip of Lopez Island.
Ultimately, named the "Jackie A", it sank in Seymour Narrows in 1989.
